The members of St. Joseph's Youth Club were appalled to hear that the Guide Dogs for the Blind Association rely totally on voluntary contributions to fund their valuable work. The 'Joe-Kers' vowed to raise some cash after meeting Mrs Samantha Culpan from the Association, together with her guide dogs Worthy and Inga.

During the summer the youngsters munched their way through countless tubes of "Smarties" before filling up the empty tubes with cash.
A cheque for £150 was presented to Mrs. Culpan by Georgia Leggett at the youth club (Sept 22nd).
