Parish Council Page

Following the agreement at Parish meetings held in summer 2005 that a Parish Council should be constituted all of the main groups in the Parish were consulted & representatives appointed. The Parish Council will meet 4 times a year and will have overall responsibility for all Parish affairs. Minutes of each meeting will be published - see below.

The function of parish councillors are
a) to present the views of parishioners and groups they represent
b) feedback to the groups and communicate generally with parishioners
c) contribute to Parish Council discussions and business
d) listen to views from other representatives and parishioners
e) contribute to the decision-making process in the parish

The Parish Council will delegate day-to-day administration to the Parish Administration Team; the appointed members of this team are:

The formation of a Parish Council and Parish Administration Team is a significant step in our development as a Parish and will provide a wider cross-section of parishioners in decisions affecting the Parish, greater openness and better communication overall.
