St Joseph’s Parish Ansdell Development Team

Notes of the 65th meeting held in the Presbytery
On Tuesday 13th May 2008

1) The meeting opened with a prayer.
2) Apologies - Ian Gilly Ross, Andy Severyn
3) The minutes of the previous meeting were agreed.
4) Matters Arising - none
5) Evangelisation: -
- Benediction - Father said that he was uncomfortable with Benediction being before 5pm Mass. It was decided that education was needed about Benediction and to that end something should go into the bulletin for a couple of weeks before a Benediction and something should be done for the children. The time of Benediction should stay the same for the next month or so (attendance to be reviewed). Greg to speak to Anne Cawthorne from the Liturgy Group.
- CASE/KIT groups - as Andy not here this is to be carried over.
6) Participation/Taking Ownership: -
- Welcome Cards - Everyone to look at the current ones and then bring comments to the next meeting for discussion
- Fit for Mission Revised Draft Proposal - Greg fed back from the meeting; should still develop and keep links with neighbouring parishes. The Parish Council is to feed all comments back.
7) Supporting the wider community :-
- Wyse Words - Kate has written the forward for Fred's newsletter.
- Cenacolo feedback - Jan said that she had news but that it had been put into The Voice so need to read it!
8) Communication
- Notice Board - Richard handed round the new photographs for the board.
- Paul Kelly in charge of the web site - Greg has created a briefing for the web
site which can also go into Fred's bulletin.
- Centenary Calendar - Richard said that he needs some input from Paul Kelly and Helping Hands. Kate said that she would contact Grass Roots.

AOB - Jan said that she had received a letter from Helping Hands thanking the Parish for its donation. She said that she would put it on the notice board.
