St Joseph’s Parish Ansdell Development Team

Notes of the 63rd meeting held in the Presbytery
On Tuesday 11th March 2008

1) The meeting opened with a prayer.
2) Apologies - None
3) Greg welcomed Ian to the team and introduced everyone.
4) The minutes of the previous meeting were agreed.
5) Matters Arising - Greg said that Andy Severyn was still interested.
6) Evangelisation: -
Parish visits - Greg said that he had spoken to Jan Hornby and Liz Kelly and both thought that it was a good idea. Greg suggested St Bede's and Bill said that he would speak to them.
CASE/KIT Groups - Greg showed the group an article in Fred's latest newsletter called "Coming Home" and suggested that everyone should read it as it was about lapsed Catholics.
Benediction - Greg had received an email with some suggestions about improving attendance at Benediction
- provide a sheet saying what to do
- move the time to just before 5pm Mass
- Greg said that he would talk to Fred about an article on the background of Benediction.
Churches Together - Jan has offered an invitation to all to attend St Joseph's and St Paul's thanked St Joseph's for their support.
Deanery Station Mass - The next one is at St Alban's. Greg said that he had put a notice in the bulletin offering a lift, but so far no-one had taken up the offer.
Parish Leaflets - leaflets have been left in Church and there have been 3 replies so far. Greg and Richard to deal with them.
FSP feedback - Kate reported that she has left her contact details as she is now the contact. She also reported that no-one had been available to attend the last meeting.
Cenacolo - carried forward to next meeting.
Notice Board photos - Richard to take new photos and update our bit of the notice board. Greg to take the notice board tidy up to the Parish Council.
A contact sheet was passed round for everyone to complete.
Web Site - Greg said that he would speak to Paul Kelly aabout updating the PDT section.
Centenary Calendar - Greg to report back to Cath H re using Cenacolo and Helping Hands for our section.
AOB - Unity Cohesion, a letter to be sent to the Methodists about the above meeting ; Jan to report back.
