Notes of the 47th meeting held in the Presbytery on Tuesday 10th October 2006
Present:
Edwina Gillett
Bill Drake
Bill Cookson
Jan O'Neill
Helen Shields
Kate Golightly
Mary Hesketh
Father Harry
1) The minutes of the previous meeting were agreed.
Matters arising: -
Schools - Helen to talk to Our Lady's School about their input to the bulletin.
2) Edwina welcomed the two new members of the group - Kate Golightly and
Mary Hesketh.
3) Ansdell Churches Together.
Jan reported that at the last meeting it was decided that there would be no
leaflet drop this year and the Churches were going to do their own thing to
advertise the Christmas services. It was decided that St Joseph would take out
a half page advert in the Andsell local directory. Jan said that she would find
out the cost of this and maybe share the advert with St Paul's.
4) Skills Audit: -
Edwina handed out example leaflets to the group and after looking through them
it was decided to keep our leaflet simple and to only ask for basic information
such as: occupation, interests& hobbies, address and contact details.
Edwina will draw up an example leaflet by next week and will circulate it to
everyone for approval.
An explanation needs to be in the bulletin on the 11th November so that on the
19th November the group can talk about it in church and the leaflets can be
filled in. As the leaflets will be filled in in church pens will need to be
available.
Mary & Edwina will talk at the 6pm Vigil Mass, Kate at the 9.30 Mass and
Jan at the 5pm Mass.
5) Any other business:
Kate asked if an Annual Blessing of the graves in the garden could be organised.
Edwina said that she would raise it with the Liturgy Group.
Helen said that she would not be at the next meeting so Kate agreed to take
the minutes.
6) Date of next meeting:
Tuesday 7th November.
