Notes of the 45th meeting held in the Presbytery on Wednesday 12th July 2006
Present:

1) The minutes of the previous meeting were agreed.
Matters arising: -
Parish Database -Edwina will speak to Mike at the weekend.
2) Parish survey -
Weekly Mass times - it was noted that at present Father can say up to 3 Masses
a day and so Edwina proposed that we go with the survey results. So the after
discussion the following Mass times were recommended:
Feast days - there should be a 9am and a 12 noon Mass but no evening Mass (due
to lack of attendance)
Weekend Masses should stay exactly as they are
There should be a Morning Mass during the week
Friday Masses - should stay the same at the moment but Father will keep a watch
on attendance at 9am Mass.
Sunday Benediction - this needs to be reviewed to see how the attendance could be improved; could involve groups. This needs to be discussed at the next Parish Development Meeting.
Training - there needs to be training available for people taking on roles in the Liturgy. We could organise our own and combine with another parish every so often. Edwina said she would talk to Christine Woods (chair of the Liturgy group), about this.
Schools - the two local schools served by the parish need to have more involvement in the parish. One way this could be achieved is by the schools feeding into Fred's quarterly newsletter something about the school.
3) Skills Audit - this will be discussed at the next meeting
4) Next meeting - Tuesday 12th September at 7pm
