Matters arising -
Survey - Edwina confirmed that she had passed on the survey
results to the Parish Council.

understood the reasons for not following this up.
Finance Meeting - Father had feedback from the Bishop and
Trustees' meeting:
- each parish will pay a 25% contribution of their collection
starting from May,

- items over £5000 will have to be asked for.

3) Assisted Suicide legislation:
Sylvia told the group of her interest in the item (her brother-in-law was the secretary to the Select Committee involved in this matter) and that there is a bill currently going through the House of Lords. She said that the only way to stop this is to let the government know that it is unpopular.
Edwina suggested a petition at the back of church and to encourage people to write.
Edwina will do a notice for the bulletin this week and a there will be a petition in the back of church for the weekends of 29/30 April and 6/7 May with someone at the back of church encouraging people to sign. Jan said that she could do 5pm Mass, Sylvia and Edwina could do Sunday morning Mass and Jan could do 6pm Mass.
Sylvia said that she was available at all Masses on the weekend of 29/30 April.
Father Harry said that he would give copies of the petition to the other churches in Ansdell
