Liturgy Day 10th September
C. Woods had received a very positive e-mail from Fr. Foulkes concerning the last meeting. He had also sent his proposed programme for the day for our comments, the group were happy with the programme and C. Woods will e-mail him to confirm this.
The group were especially pleased with his suggestion that the closing liturgy should be prepared as an outcome of the day.
C. Woods has been contacted by Yvonne Cook from St. Cuthbert's parish to ask if 2 or 3 of their liturgy group could attend. The group welcomed their interest and C. woods will advise them accordingly. A discussion took place as to whether to invite people from St Peter's parish. It was decided to await a better idea of the likely numbers.
The practical arrangements for the day were discussed.
F. Dronsfield will acquire a Flip- Chart and pens.
M. Johnson will bring a notebook computer and set up the power point projector.
Refreshments will be coordinated by A. Waters. Morning coffee and biscuits will be provided.
Lunch will be soup and sandwiches, tasks were allocated.
Attendance. We will contact people engaged in the different ministries involved in liturgy directly to invite them. C. Moore, J. O'Neill and A. Waters will contact the House Groups and invite them. The Day will be mentioned by Fr. Harry at Sunday Mass and will be plugged in the Bulletin this week and next.
I.E.

A suggestion had been received that in this Year of the Eucharist we should have Exposition twice a week perhaps with music suitable for meditation. It was pointed out that we do have Exposition on Saturday morning, but attendance is very poor. Fr Harry said that this was also true of Benediction, which attracted 5 to 8 attendees each month. A short discussion took place, but it was felt we needed to give this deeper thought and will devote part of the next meeting to discuss the role of these devotions within the parish and how we should plan them in the future.

Consecration of the Church 8th September is the anniversary of this event Fr. Harry asked if it was usual in the parish to commemorate this. The group felt, as it was not the practice in the parish to do so we did not wish to institute a special service, but that it should be mentioned at the daily mass on the 8th.

October Devotions
It was decided to continue the practice of saying the Rosary after the morning Mass during October.

Future Meetings
A discussion took place about the purpose and type of meeting we wanted in the future. It was felt that perhaps a two-part meeting in which we spent one part discussing practical arrangements and the other discussing the seasonal liturgy in more depth might be helpful. Fr. Foulkes' idea of a seasonal plan was felt to be useful and we will discuss this further after the Liturgy day. It was decided at the next meeting to consider November, The devotions for the Holy Souls. Christ the King,. Advent.

Fr. Harry wished to place on record that he had every confidence in the group and that though we should always remember the tradition in the Parish we should not be afraid to challenge it.
