Wanda Kruzsynska (chair)

Guest:

1. Wanda opened the meeting and welcomed those present, especially the three new members of the team, Bill Cookson, Bill Drake and Margaret Kelly who had been discerned at the recent Parish Assembly. The meeting recorded their thanks to retiring members Ben Aitken, Pat Ormond and Margaret Thompson for their contribution to the team during the last year.

2. A period of reflection on Mark 13 24:32 then followed.

3. Parish Assembly: This was held on Sunday 9 November facilitated by Dympna McGee. 34 parishioners had attended the Assembly and the following subjects were recorded as key areas for development over the next 12 months:

- communication and co-ordination of all parish activities and events
- developing the use of the Hall both for parish events and maximising revenue from letting the facilities
- developing more youth participation in parish life as readers, welcomers, collectors and as Eucharistic Ministers
- ecumenical activity and how this might be developed
- family fun days/days of recollection/retreats/special Mass for carers

4. It was agreed that the team should provide feedback to the Parish from the Assembly and this will be compiled and published in the next few weeks. In the meantime Paul and Edwina will discuss how the Parish Weekly Bulletin could be developed with the team of compilers and Anne and Bill (D) will liaise with representatives from each of the parish groups/committees about how we might best co-ordinate activities and exchange information.

5. Two ideas were discussed, providing a copy of Fr Aidan's weekly sermon for Eucharistic Ministers to pass on to the sick and housebound communicants and the production of a Parish quarterly newsletter incorporating contributions from the full range of parish activities. Both were seen as excellent suggestions and will be pursued.

6. Date of Next Meeting: Tuesday 2 December at 8:00pm

7. The meeting closed at 9:45 with a prayer.
