  1. Wanda opened the meeting and welcomed our guests.
  2. A period of reflection on Mark 7 31:37 then followed.
  3. Sick and Housebound Mass on 29 August: Considered a huge success. Over 100 people attended the Mass with around half receiving the annointing of the sick, and virtually the whole of the congregation enjoying a chat over tea and cakes in the presbytery later. Lots of positive feedback received, a must be repeated event.
  4. Youth: Summer programme of events have been well attended. The Youth will now meet up in the Hall on alternate Thursdays but a volunteer Youth leader and more volunteers to help run the sessions are needed. A “bag pack” session for Saturday 6 September has been organised with Booths to help raise funds for materials for the group.
  5. House Groups: It is proposed to introduce these over the next few weeks and volunteers to host the groups will be sought. More details can be found in the bulletin.
  6. Landings: A structured programme, running for a set period of time to foster and encourage lapsed Catholics returning to the life of the Church. The preparations for running this programme are considerable and as details are firmed up arrangements will be widely publicised.
  7. Renewal Day: Fr Aidan will speak to Dympna about setting a date in October (a Sunday) for the Team to attend a renewal day hopefully at either Brettagh Holt or Hyning Hall.
  8. Flag pole: Thanks to the generosity of one of our parishioners we now have a flag pole which is to be erected very shortly in the Church grounds.
  9. Births, Marriages and Deaths: A ‘photo corner to record these events has been suggested. A suitable site in Church will be identified and notified later.
  10. Next meeting: Tuesday 14 October at 8:00pm in the Presbytery.
  11. The meeting closed at 9:45 with a prayer.
